The Anne Boleyn Collection Update

Thursday, February 23rd, 2012

I can’t believe that it’s only been six days since I released “The Anne Boleyn Collection”, it’s been such a whirlwind of a week!

I’m thrilled to bits with the reaction to the release of the book. I’ve been inundated with emails, messages and comments from well-wishers and people who have bought it and are enjoying reading it, and sales have been amazing. On the 18th February, the first full day after the book’s release, this is what Amazon said about The Anne Boleyn Collection:-

Plus, I was No.3 on Hot New Releases for History>England with the two versions (Kindle and paperback) of a Wallis Simpson book ahead of me. Squeal!

I’ve now got 8 five star customer reviews and am so grateful to those who have taken the time to review it – a big thank you! I really couldn’t have done it without the support of the whole Anne Boleyn Files community, the people who have encouraged me and supported me. I just hope and pray that this book will really help people to learn the truth about Anne Boleyn and the Tudors.

The ABC of Anne Boleyn

Friday, February 10th, 2012

As my book “The Anne Boleyn Collection” can be shortened to “The ABC”, I thought it would be fun to do an ABC (alphabet) of Anne Boleyn with some trivia about her, her family and the time she lived in.

You can download your copy for free (as a PDF) by signing up in the right hand menu bar under “Receive Updates and Get your FREE ‘ABC of Anne Boleyn’ report!” Enjoy!

Signing up means that you’ll also be kept up to date on news regarding my book “The Anne Boleyn Collection” which is due out in March 2012.

The Anne Boleyn Collection Cover – Anne Boleyn’s Falcon

Wednesday, February 8th, 2012

You may be wondering what the image on the cover is all about. Well, it’s actually the badge or device that Anne Boleyn used when she was Queen. It was introduced to the English people at Anne’s coronation in 1533 in a display at Leadenhall. According to the records, “a castle was constructed, with a ‘heavenly rouse’ at the top whilst red and white roses sprung forth. From this heavenly rose descended a falcon which landed on a stump. An angel in armour then descended and crowned the falcon.” A child then spoke the following words written by Nicholas Udall:-

“Honour and grace be to our Queen Anne,
For whose cause an Angel Celestial
Descendeth, the falcon (as white as [the] swan)
To crown with a diadem imperial!
In her honour rejoice we all,
For it cometh from God, and not of man.
Honour and grace be to our Queen Anne!”

The falcon device was a new badge as Anne had formerly used the black lion rampant, the Rochford badge.

Coming Soon!

Wednesday, February 8th, 2012

I’m so excited! My first book “The Anne Boleyn Collection” will be released next month, March 2012!

The book celebrates three years of The Anne Boleyn Files website, which is now one of the top Tudor websites and has over 47,000 visits per month. I’ve picked some of my most popular articles and reworked them, doing more research. I’ve also added in a couple of new articles – phew!

The result is a 260 page paperback which covers topics such as

  • Should Anne Boleyn be pardoned and reburied as Queen?
  • Anne Boleyn and “The Other Boleyn Girl”
  • Did Anne Boleyn dig her own grave?
  • The Six Wives’ stereotypes – are they right?
  • Did Anne Boleyn commit incest with her brother?

The proof copy is on its way to me now so it’s all getting rather exciting – I’m not sleeping and I keep jumping around the place!

Please do sign up to receive updates so you know when “The Anne Boleyn Collection” is released. Simply fill in your details in the right hand menu bar. Thank you!
